In game Video Demo
How do you turn an entire branch of knowledge into a single image?
Another piece from Ad Astra, an educational game developed at Education Studios.
One of the core systems of the project was the Knowledge Map. As players progressed through the game, they gradually collected knowledge that could later be used across different gameplay mechanics.
The map was divided into two main branches: Living and Non-Living.
I was responsible for creating the key illustration for the Non-Living branch.
The idea was to represent different parts of the non-living world within one compact visual - ground, water, fire and air interacting inside a single form - while keeping the image readable enough to work both as an illustration and as part of the Knowledge Map.
